My hair is very fine and also very thin. I have never been able to grow my hair very long. I have dabbled in extensions throughout the years and wanted to give my two cents (for what it’s worth!) Tape-In Extensions My first experience with hair extensions was when I was getting married (about 3 years ago). My friend had gotten extensions for her wedding so I was inspired to do so as well. I wanted to wear my hair down for our wedding (because that felt most like me) but needed some length and ... View the Post
5 Reasons I am Looking Forward to Spring
Spring is finally (almost here!) So many fun things to look forward to, especially in Minnesota. We've been freezing in the cold snow for too long! What are your favorite things about Spring? I put together five simple things that have me really excited for Spring. The days are getting longer. With daylight savings happening this weekend, it will stay light just a little while longer. I am excited to leave work and not have it be dark outside. Also from a blog standpoint, it is so nice to be ... View the Post
28
A few weeks ago I turned twenty eight. I have to admit, 28 is an age that is affecting me a little bit. I know that sounds silly. But at 26 and 27, you're in your "mid-twenties." Now at 28, all of the sudden it's expected that you have your life together. "How many kids do you have?" Um, none? "You're not drinking, I didn't realize you were expecting!" I'm not? Others make conversation about how annoying it is to mow the grass, shovel snow, (insert home related task here), and I'm over ... View the Post
My Experience Trying Natural Skincare Products
I have never been passionate about using natural skincare products. Instead of taking the time to research, I I would just use what I liked or what was cheapest. I basically didn’t know what I didn’t know. Lately, I have been trying to be more “natural” (the reasons for that are maybe for another post sometime). But I have this appetite to change what I eat, medicines I take, and also what I put on my skin. After researching natural skincare for a bit, I found out that the personal care ... View the Post
Save or Splurge: Gucci Belt
I bought this Gucci dupe from Amazon recently. I love the look of the Gucci belt, but $450 for a belt? That's pretty hard for me to justify (or afford for that matter). I also am not a huge belt wearer. Maybe if you wear a belt every single day? This belt looks the best jeans (in my opinion) but have also seen it styled with a dress, which I may try going into Spring. For $15, this belt is a steal. That being said, definitely has some quality issues. But again, for the price, I don't mind. ... View the Post
Recap: Minneapolis Bloggers Union Kick-Off Event
A few months ago my friend Sam (also known as Downtown Blondie) reached out to me wanting to know if I would help start the Minneapolis Bloggers Union. She and Claudia from Miles and Smiles were starting this group where bloggers in the Twin Cities could learn, grow, and support each other. I took a few days to think it over, discussed with Tony, and sent a message back to Sam that just said, “I’m in!” I’ve gotten to know Sam over the past year or so (through blogging) and she is the ...
