If you've been following along for a while, you know about my 'magic dress' from Nordstrom. I have it in grey and black, and they're both long-sleeved. Nordstrom also has a sleeveless version that comes in tons and tons of colors. It's exactly the same, same brand (Leith), just sleeveless. I knew I would be pregnant pretty much all Summer so I thought I would buy the sleeveless version in a few colors. Until... I found the dupe on Amazon! No sense in buying the more expensive version for my ... View the Post
Liss Travels: 7 Tips for Travel in the Third Trimester
Travel in the third trimester is fun! It’s a lot more difficult to travel with a baby so you might as well do it now! The second trimester is arguably the best time to travel (about 14 to 27-weeks pregnant). Tony and I went to Kauai at 20 weeks and you can see that post here. I am 30-weeks pregnant right now and I just got back from a girls’ trip to San Diego with my mom and sister! I had a few questions on Instagram about traveling at 30 weeks pregnant, so I thought I would give some tips. ... View the Post
3 Products to Prevent Stretch Marks
I am 30 weeks pregnant now and I don't have one stretch mark! I know it's still early, but I am pretty proud of this belly! I've heard that stretch marks are mostly genetic, but I'm doing whatever I can to try and prevent getting them. I have three different products I've been using for the past 7 months or so. To be honest, I don't know which of these products is working because I have been using all three on rotation. I just cycle through the three knowing that one of them is ... View the Post
Dressing Up Your Baby Bump
Dressing up your baby bump does have some challenges. I’ve tried not to let pregnancy prevent me from getting a little fancy, whether that be for church, work, or a date night. It’s easy to dress a bump casually (hello leggings!) but a dress is another story. I’ve stuck mostly to non-maternity dresses in pregnancy. I want to be able to wear these dresses in August and September after baby is here. Anything that is either super stretchy or that has a looser fit typically works! If it’s fitted and ... Fighting High Blood Pressure During Pregnancy
At around 20 weeks pregnant, my OB diagnosed with me with gestational hypertension, which is essentially high blood pressure during pregnancy. I had three consecutive high blood pressure readings, where my blood pressure was higher than what the OB would like. The OB told me that slightly elevated blood pressure during pregnancy is okay. However, it can also be a sign of pre-eclampsia, which can be very dangerous for the mom and can result in seizures. My doctor is being cautious, doing ... View the Post
Asos Maternity Basics
I never thought that maternity bike shorts would be high on the list of items I would need for pregnancy, but here we are! I haven't bought a ton of maternity items throughout pregnancy. I would rather wear items that are non-maternity in a bigger size. For one, non-maternity clothes are much cuter, and two, most non-maternity items will work a lot better for post-baby as well. That being said, there were a handful of maternity basics that I needed and I got most of them from Asos! Asos has ... View the Post
