deck the halls.

we got an 8 foot tree. we have 11 foot ceilings. this should have worked out. the place we decided to put our tree (in front of the window) has this air duct that hangs down a couple feet (loft life). tony had to do some trimming to the top. next year we might not go as grand with the size of the tree. and next year we might be able to actually have a tree topper.

my secret santa last year (my amazing sister-in-law jess) got us this cute tree skirt last year for christmas. it was so fun to get out and use now that we are officially “the schranks.”

my amazing husband did a stellar job getting the tree up. it’s a lot harder than it looks to get it in the stand and make it look straight. tony loves the colored bulbs so i gave in and let him buy those. i prefer white lights, but i must admit there is something fun and playful about the colored bulbs.

princess ella wasn’t much help. here she is below relaxing with her “friend” (the pink duck) by the fire.
