the other night we took ella to boom island park for a little picnic and some play time. we are cherishing every second left of summer! i threw on this top and shorts that i got at arc’s value village recently and packed up a picnic in the backpack that i got at arc’s too. the top was only $4.99 and the shorts were only $6.99! the shorts are one of my favorite things i have gotten this summer because of their length. it is just me or is it so hard to find age appropriate shorts for a 26 year old? shorts are either super short or too long, and these are just right! this backpack was brand new from forever 21 and i got it for $15.49. it fits all of the items i need in a day (including sandwiches on this occasion!). i even brought it to the state fair last week. i got all of these items when i used the personal shopping service at arc’s value village! michelle (the thrift stylist!) put together about 5 outfits for me and also gathered some other great pieces and accessories. during the appointment, all i had to do was try everything on and then buy what i liked! did i mention that the service is completely free? and super easy. i booked my appointment online, filled out a form to tell the stylist my preferences, and then went to the appointment. easy! can’t wait to do it again!
