every year around new year’s we go to arizona to visit my dad and stepmom. we were looking forward to doing a lot of hiking, relaxing, and tony wanted to do some golfing. you will never guess what happened… almost everyone in my family got sick! like stomach virus super sick. tony didn’t leave the house for DAYS. these photos are pretty much all from our first day before the sickness swept through the house. hopefully we have better luck next year!! 
i spy sister! she and i took a gorgeous sunset hike (when everyone else was sick!) there were tons of hot air balloons in the air. it was very beautiful!

on the last day i sat out by the pool. it isn’t really warm enough in december to sit by the pool but i got out there for a few hours. fully clothed, but better than minneapolis temps!

I would love to experience that amazing sunset hike! It seems like you had a blast! When’s the best time of the year for a hike there?
i usually go around christmas time and the weather is cool (60’s) and a good temp for hiking. in the summer it is pretty miserable!
