Dear Rosie,
The day you were born will always be one of the best days of my life. You made me a mom and it changed my world forever. We got to do all of the “firsts” together and that’s something that we will always have. You will always be my first baby and my favorite “in the whole world” (as you would say!)
I can’t believe it won’t be “just us” anymore. I’m trying to soak in every moment of every day with you before the babies arrive. There is so much uncertainty around when they will be born that it feels like every minute could be our last. Let’s continue to enjoy all of these memories we are making as a family of three (while also getting excited for the new family members to arrive!)
My mama heart worries so much that you will be sad when the babies arrive and it kills me that you may miss your time with me. Everyone says that “love doesn’t divide, it multiplies,” so know that my heart will not love you any less, my heart is just growing!
I know that you will love having siblings SO MUCH. I have to keep reminding myself that we’re doing this for you too! You will be the best big sister. I can already tell by the way you talk to the babies and by how excited you are to help with them. I can’t wait to see what you teach them.
Rosie, I am so blessed to have you in my life and I am so blessed to be your mom. I love you more than anything “in the whole world!”
