Oh Minnesota in the summertime. There is nothing quite like it. I know it’s cliche to say, but this is why we live here. We suffer through months and months (and months) of winter to get here, but when it’s here it’s the best. Every year I make a bucket list (see 2016 and 2017 here) and this Summer is no different. Some activities will be on my list no matter the year (hello State Fair!) but I like to mix in a few new ones as well. This is a Minnesota Summer from a locals point of view. Enjoy!
1. Go to a Twins game
2. Rent bikes and ride around Minneapolis
3. Go to a drive-in movie at the Vali-Hi drive-in
4. Bet on some ponies at the Canterbury horse races
5. Spend a weekend at a cabin “up north”
6. Go on a ‘movie in the park’ date
7. Hit up a farmer’s market (our favorite is Lyndale)
8. A “staycation” in our city
9. A rainy day at the Mall of America (want to try out the new movie theater!)
10. The grande finale: the Minnesota State Fair
