Oh Minnesota in the summertime. There is nothing quite like it. I know it's cliche to say, but this is why we live here. We suffer through months and months (and months) of winter to get here, but when it's here it's the best. Every year I make a bucket list (see 2016 and 2017 here) and this Summer is no different. Some activities will be on my list no matter the year (hello State Fair!) but I like to mix in a few new ones as well. This is a Minnesota Summer from a locals point of view. ... View the Post
Minneapolis Monthly: Parallel Coffee
Last month I started a new series called 'Minneapolis Monthly' where monthly I share one of my favorite spots in Minneapolis. You can see last month's post here. This month I chose Parallel Coffee. This coffee shop is new (within the last three months or so) but it's quickly become my absolute favorite. It's on the edge of the North Loop in an area I'm not really sure what to call? When people ask where it is I tell them it's by the Lyndale Farmer's Market and I feel like that's the best ... View the Post
Save or Splurge: Wicker Bag
I got this wicker bag last summer and it has been one of my favorite clutches for both summer and vacation. I brought this bag to both Charleston and Savannah last summer and also on a cruise! This bag is only $23 on Amazon which is crazy because it looks very expensive. The designer version on Shopbop is $205, which isn't crazy but is a lot for a bag that you only wear seasonally (in my opinion). This summer (even more so than last summer) straw and wicker bags are super on trend. I love how ... View the Post
7 Ways to Style the Headscarf Trend
I love the headscarf trend and it seems to be everywhere right now. I bought this headscarf recently and have been experimenting with different ways to wear it. This particular headscarf just sold out online, but I saw lots of them in store on Friday, so I would go check out Forever 21! Otherwise, thrift stores or scarves from your mom or grandma's closet would work great! Below are the seven styles I loved the most while I was playing around. I had even more styles (the ... everyday totes at every price point
A reader recently requested a post on everyday totes at various price points. I love this idea because a great tote is a wardrobe staple. My totes go with me to work (with my laptop) and then to errands, dinner, you name it. I love to have all of my stuff on me at all times. I usually carry a planner, book, snacks, makeup, and sometimes even a change of clothes. This tote that I am carrying right now is definitely a splurge, but a great tote doesn't have to break the bank. I searched all over ... View the Post
Self-Care Sundays
On Sundays I get major “Sunday Scaries.” I find it extremely hard to fall asleep because I am so anxious about the week ahead. I’m in bed wide awake right now (while my husband is snoring). I thought, no better time to write this blog post! I have a self-care routine that I do on Sundays to combat the “Sunday Scaries” and help myself relax. Because we had an insanely busy weekend, I didn’t get the chance to do my Sunday routine. Maybe that’s why I am so wide-awake right now? Anyway, there are ... View the Post
